Alpenglow Bracelet Inspiration: Alpenglow is my favorite time of day in the winter, but it’s pretty quick. Alpenglow is an optical phenomenon which makes mountains appear to glow in rosy colors. The colors can vary from yellow, to orange, to pink, to red, to purple. Alpenglow comes from the German word alpenglühen, and it means “Alp glow.” You can watch Alpenglow both at sunrise and sunset. There’s nothing quite as beautiful as watching a snow-covered mountain slowly change from white to beautiful warm colors as the sun begins to set. Don’t blink around here, though, or you’ll miss it!

Our Interpretation: The Alpenglow bracelet features a silver focal bead to represent the cold and icy winter temperatures, white Howlite, which represents the snowy mountains, pink Rhodochrosite and purple Lepidolite to represent the varying hues of the Alpenglow as it progresses as the sun is setting behind the horizon.
