American Robin Bracelet Inspiration: There’s something especially welcome about the sight of an American Robin in Alaska. After a long northern winter, their return is one of those little signs that the season is finally beginning to turn. Soon they’re hopping across lawns and forest clearings, cocking their heads toward the ground looking for earthworms, while their familiar song carries through the long Alaska daylight. I love watching them in my yard, and their song is so beautiful.

And while we often picture a robin by its warm orange breast, an Alaskan landscape seems to bring out the rest of its beautiful palette, the charcoal gray of its back, the darkness of its head, and those subtle flashes of light around it. Against spruce forests, weathered stone, and the muted colors of the north, that rusty-orange breast becomes unmistakable.
